With the sunshine came 93 competitors from all over the country for the Army festival of climbing, they had based themselves in Capel Curig in the heart of Snowdonia and were ready for a week of fantastic climbing in gloriuos conditions! The format for the week would be an introduction to North wales Bouldering on monday followed by two days of qualifing at the Indy wall ready for the finals at the beacon climbing centre on thursday.
Monday came and we gathered our crop from Capel Curig and headed out into the park, within the group we had a mix of ability and experiance from complete novice to seasoned campaigners, Our venue of choice for the day was to be the RAC boulders so off we headed. We were lucky to have the whole venue to ourselve’s so after a quick orientation and a little bit of history we let the group loose on the problems.
